Shakespeare in the Schools

IN SCHOOL PERFORMANCES
As part of Hudson Shakespeare's mission, we endeavor to bring in-school performances to schools in Hudson and Bergen Counties (although, we have been known to journey outside these areas). We come into public, private, charter, and even home-school situations. Our in-school performances are condensed, fast paced, 90 minute productions, featuring a small cast of actors who play multiple roles. We endeavor to expose students and teachers to benefits of seeing Shakespeare performed, and we don't hold back from the humor, inuendos, and violence within the plays.
WORKSHOPS
We provide workshops and assemblies to student groups. These workshops can be tailored to the needs and desires of your student body and administrators. In the past we have presented workshops on such topics as Shakespeare Verse Technique and Voice Studies, First Folio and Cue Script work, Monologue and Scene Study, Stage Combat (unarmed and Sword play).
